YEAR TWO
Year Two: Deepening Knowledge and Stepping into Ministry
In the second year, we dive into the Old Testament in three parts, exploring historical context, poetry, and prophecy. You’ll also engage in an in-depth study of the Book of Revelation and receive training to prepare for ministerial service within the local church.

Harvest Bible College also serves as a resource center for those seeking accredited education through SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary. If you’re pursuing ministerial credentials through the Assemblies of God, HBC will walk alongside you through the credentialing process in partnership with the NorCal Assemblies of God District.

📖 Class 1: Standing in the Books of the Prophets
This course is designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of the prophetic books of the Old Testament and their relevance today.
We will explore key prophets and the historical context in which they spoke, identifying major prophetic themes and markers of fulfillment throughout Israel’s history. Special attention will be given to fulfilled prophecies—ranging from ancient times to more recent historical developments—demonstrating the consistency and faithfulness of God’s Word.
Students will leave this course with:
• A clearer understanding of the role of the prophets
• The ability to recognize fulfilled prophecy in Scripture and history
• Greater confidence in the reliability and authority of the Bible
• A strengthened faith rooted in God’s prophetic timeline

🏠 Class 2: Developing Teaching Skills & Launching a Home Bible Study
This practical, hands-on course equips students to effectively teach the Word of God and confidently start and lead a home Bible study group.
We will cover the essentials of teaching, including how to prepare a lesson, communicate clearly, and engage a group. In addition, students will learn step-by-step how to plan, launch, and sustain a home Bible study—from vision to execution.
Topics include:
• Structuring and preparing a Bible lesson
• Developing your teaching voice and confidence
• Creating a welcoming and engaging group environment
• Building a simple, effective plan for starting a home study
• Practical strategies for growth and consistency
By the end of this course, students will not only be equipped to teach—but also empowered to step into leadership and create spaces where others can grow in faith.
